CAIRO — Christians on a committee rewriting Egypt’s constitution threatened to walk out Thursday after disputes over portions dealing with Islamic law.

Egypt’s ultraconservative Al-Nour party — which has one member in the 50-person panel — has been pushing for adding an article defining Islamic, or Shariah, law, which critics warn could allow for stricter interpretations of what Shariah is later.

Obama secretly began lifting sanctions on Iran months ago - Jihad Watch

Yet another gesture of good will and concession made to Islamic supremacists who will only see it as a sign of weakness, and not respond with their own gesture of good will. "Exclusive: Obama’s Secret Iran Détente," by Eli Lake and Josh Rogin for The Blaze, November 8 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

Long before a nuclear deal was in reach, the U.S. was quietly lifting some of the financial pressure on Iran, a Daily Beast investigation reveals. How the sanctions were softened.

The Obama administration began softening sanctions on Iran after the election of Iran’s new president in June, months before the current round of nuclear talks in Geneva or the historic phone call between the two leaders in September.

Belgium considering world's first child euthanasia law - CBS News

Should children have the right to ask for their own deaths?
In Belgium, where euthanasia is now legal for people over the age of 18, the government is considering extending it to children -- something that no other country has done. The same bill would offer the right to die to adults with early dementia.
Advocates argue that euthanasia for children, with the consent of their parents, is necessary to give families an option in a desperately painful situation. But opponents have questioned whether children can reasonably decide to end their own lives.

Female circumcision campaigner horrified as shoppers sign pro-cutting petition - because they're scared of being 'culturally insensitive' | Mail Online

Horrified: Leyla Hussein, who was cut at the age of seven in Somalia, was left in tears by the experiment

A female genital mutilation (FGM) campaigner was left in tears after an experiment intended to assess the impact of political correctness on the fight against cutting saw 19 people sign a fake pro-FGM petition within 30 minutes.
Leyla Hussein, 32, who suffered female genital mutilation as a child, approached shoppers in Northampton with the petition, which argued that as FGM was part of her culture, it should be protected.

During the 30-minute experiment, 19 people signed the petition and just one refused - a result Hussein blamed on the all-pervading culture of political correctness.

Janelle Vaesa, a scientist with a Master of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Louisville, published an article on September of this year, in which she referenced our article on the one Syrian rebel who hate a man’s lung and on the other who barbequed a man’s head, and forewarned that kuru will arise from such cannibalism and violence, writing:
If Syrian rebels are reportedly barbequeing their enemies’ heads and eating hearts on video, are they putting themselves in danger?…Kuru, also known as the “laughing disease” can be transmitted from person to person who engage in cannibalism due to prions in the brain.

Parents slam pro-Islam slant in Florida school textbook - Washington Times

Hundreds of parents, angry at what they say is a biased student textbook with a decided pro-Islam slant, have launched a campaign demanding equal religious representation and planned a protest at the school board meeting this week.

The book, “World History,” devotes fully 32 pages — an entire chapter — on “Muslim Civilizations,” including descriptions of the Koran and a listing of the Five Pillars of Islam, The Daily Caller reported. But noticeably missing is information on any other religion.

Protesters are demanding that students tear out the Islam chapter until the school, in Volusia County, provide a like number of pages on other religions, the local WFTV reported.

“The problem is there needs to be balance,” said District 2 Deltona commissioner Webster Barnaby, in The Daily Caller. “In America today, Christianity is being relegated to the trash heap. Why relegate Christianity to a footnote in an entire history book, and you give an entire chapter on the teachings of Islam? To suggest that everybody knows about Christianity, that is total ignorance.”

Bill Would Force Employers to Accommodate ‘Gender Transitioning’ in the Workplace | TheBlaze.com

Senate Bill Aims to Protect Gender Transitioning in the Workplace
Section 8 of the bill discusses “‘gender transition” and prevents employers from fully enforcing “reasonable dress or grooming standards.”
Instead, an employer who is told by an employee that they are “undergoing gender transition” must allow that individual to dress as the gender “to which the employee has transitioned or is transitioning.”
The Hill notes that the bill does not define “gender transition.”

In midst of Syrian war, giant Jesus statue arises

Jesus stands, arms outstretched, on the Cherubim mountain, overlooking a route pilgrims took from Constantinople to Jerusalem in ancient times. The statue is 12.3 meters (40 feet) tall and stands on a base that brings its height to 32 meters (105 feet), organizers of the project estimate.

The project, called "I Have Come to Save the World," is run by the London-based St. Paul and St. George Foundation
